Two physical server each having two vm.one for db and other for application.we want to do clustering between both...

Server1 to server2 cluster.

so if one server down the it wil be redirected to the second one (including the two vm)

will this work out ?

i am doing the restoration of database.so i have to make up the last updated data.so i am taking the tail log backup so the database is in restoring state.so...

thts ok it wil be diffrenet strategies for different organisations.but i just need the basic inf only

size of db wil be 5 gb and down time can be 30 min

so daily full back up and 2 hrs interval transaction log its okk

so this full back up will replace existing backup or every day a new file wil be there...

if u r using office 2007 u should use oledb 12.0 not jet 4.0

U can get it from

sysjobs table

actulay i run the

netstat -o from the cmd prompt

i cannot see the port 1433 there

so wht might be the problem ?

i am using sql server authentication

defalut instance only

i have deleted the sql server folders.os is windows 2003

while installing the database service am geting the error

select * into testdb.dbo.Dest_Tbl from Source_Tbl where createdwhen < dateadd(month,-6,getdate())

this is only for one table
