Have you tried applying SP3-CU2 at least? If that doesn't help open a support ticket with Microsoft. This error is related to spin-locks most likely.

well the thing is rebalancing of data is (I think) based on % space free in each Filegroup so if you have like 10 - 20 % free space inside...

This sounds like all your users ended up in model database. Remove them from there and newly created db's shouldn't have those users added by default.

Well you could do as a first step get 2 more LUNs with 250 GB each and after redistribution of all data shrink the files on the first 2 LUNs...
