I didn't uninstall anything.
The BIDS and Mgmt Studio installed successfully, although I got several warnings of "Compatibility issues", thruout the install.
Seems to be OK.

I'm not using a DVD. Installing from folders on the laptop that I copied from the server that holds all install files. You remember, the "Servers" and "Tools" folders....
