It looks like mail server(Exchange,SMTP) settings are incorrect , amend them and try again.
If everything is set correctly, then the test mail should work fine.

Its similar to Oracle, few of them as per my knowledge below:
Oracle--Tablespaces,db-files, segments, extents, db-blocks
SQl-Db-files, extents(8 pages),pages(8 diff types of pages, check for them)

This is strange!
But why did you give the autogrowth size as just 50MB when ur database is around 200GB, why dont you change it to 1GB or 1000MB.

I checked it in my earlier comp., you can do that using DMV's
try to check it using sys.dm_exec_connections or sys.dm_exec_sessions with some cond.'s

you need c:\windows\I386 folder to install IIS.
Check if you have that then go ahead and install it from add/remove programs and windows components.

give a go once and if you cant then check if u can configure log shipping as read-only instead of stand by(no recovery), where you can do backups

Modify the maintenance plan and add a log file to that and check the file after the next run, this should surely help you.

In your case you are backing up multiple databases, may be one of which has been deleted/recovery mode modified...something of this sort.

you cannot install SQL 2005 of 64bit on 32 bit processor, so ur's shud be a 32-bit OS with 32bit SQL 2005
