    There are 2 separate clusters, production at the main site and pre-production that has 2 SQL instances on it (pre-production and disaster recovery).

    How do I find the query cost in the cache plan.

    If you hover over an element you will see Estimated Subtree Cost - that's what you're after I believe.

    The application name is a connection string bit of information that you can put anything in. You could say "Bob" for the application and SQL Server wouldn't know...
