@deubel_m log file is still growing after every shrink... so it doesnt work

File Sizes between some KB and 2-7 GB

@deubel_m Shrinking doesnt help, because VLFs still with status 2 so they will...

So i did the following steps:

1. Changed Recovery Mode to Simple
2. Did a checkpoint
3. Changed back to Full
4. Did a backup of the Database (.bak)
5. Did a backup of...

So i read this before and did a log backup.

Backup Type: Transaction Log

It doesnt work... Or do you mean anything else?

So i took the database offline and dropped all connections and took the database online again.

When the BACKUP_LOG starts there were no open transactions and the database was on log_reuse_wait_desc...

i´m getting 221 rows

there are several transactions sleeping with open_tran_count 1 and implicit tran off

edit: log_reuse_wait_desc is still "NOTHING" for that database

Yea having sp_whoisactive

Right now there are some results but all are sleeping or suspended

In evening there are no results (open transactions)

Backup is working fine

i use the transaction log shipping option to do backups. tried it with a job...
