This is working for me...

syntax - CASE WHEN e1=e2 THEN NULL ELSE e1 END

ex1 - select case when clientname = '' then NULL else 'a1' end from abc

You can do this perfectly using schedules in sql server. I used it two years back. Please use it carefully.
