And one more thing although the error message states access denied to D...\Repldata\unc\..
i cannot see the subfolder UNC under Repldata.
Repldata folder is empty and i cannot see...

I have installed the Hotfix and now builds are same
I have even restored MSDB successfully.
I have not dropped MSDB. Not sure it allows that.

Yeah the builds are different.
I have done some troubleshooting and found out that Prod version is 8.00.2282
whereas in the QA box it is 8.00.2039
That is the reason i was having...

he was connected and i granted him view definition permissions for views and he had to disconnect and reconnect for them to show up

tools-replication-configure publisher, subscriber and distibutor

I have the same problem.
i used a script for transactional replication and successfully replicated 3 tables from sql 2000 to sql 2005.
but when i tried the same script it doesn't...
