    I got it to work; THANKS, now I want to trim off the date so it's just the time...

    here are some of the data that I am passing...

    Type       Direction           Name         Value

    Varchar      in              @DateL        2002/05/05

    Varchar      in              @DateR    1-1-2005

    Varchar       in             @timeout      12:00 am
