It worked. Thank you. I had to change the file Id to 1 for the second file bizarrely but it worked.

Just run regularly with a job:
select * from sysfiles
and you can grab the size of your current log.

in your pass-through query, you should say
Exec UpdateInfo '1432'
and that should work.
You have to set up properties for the connection in your pass-through query, do not forget that.
