But Manual is not good if the box reboots in the middle of the night and when it comes back the services are not started.

I was wonerding how this would affect SQL Server 2000 in general since the default is to have "Automatic ANSI to OEM Conversion" option checked/enabled.

it is in the Logs but I have them re-cycling daily to keep them small. Thus no records > 7 days past.
any other ideas ?

that is the last time a specific database has been restored from a full backup file.

what happens to the structure of the .MDF when you do the Restore method of upgrading ?
