Do you honestly think in 8 hours of training you can get a from scratch IT employee to a working (Junior)...

The site will tell you how long the evaluation copy last but i will bet it will not be over 90 days. Probably more like 30 days.

I do not believe you will get an evaluation copy of SQL Server 2005 standard edition. You can of 2008.
