Hi cliffb, using XMLHTTP is the solution. Excellent work, thanks a lot. I've been warned about using xp_cmdshell to do this is there a more secure way of doing this?

1) an end-user application
2) I've installed the MS xml SDK and I'm using ServerXMLHTTP to connect to the remote server through SSL.
My only problem though is triggering the ASP page...

Let me explain what I'm trying to accomplish, it sounds like there is a better way to do this. I have an insert/update trigger that will use the xp_cmdshell command....

Hi Steve, I don't think it's a path issue. If I double-click the VBS file from Windows Explorer the ASP file gets called IE opens and a record is added...
