It happens from VB and QA.
The weird thing is, is that the SP works, it updates the data as expected but then gets the exception violation??

Oracle doesn`t have databases. Do you mean 2 Oracle instances? Or database objects under different owner names?

How much mem would you think? The server already has one gig??
You`d think that`d be way powerful enough for just 2/3users!!!!

I also tried;
WHERE CAST(auto_id as VarCHar(36) = @auto_id
Gets the same exception violation AFTER writing the data back ok. I don`t really want to ignore the error in the Application,...

This is true, thats why I wasn`t too bothered. Can`t schedule anything but I`ll just do it thru a TSQL Job scheduled on a v7 Server.

No it`s on a WINNT 4.0 box with SP6a.
Do you recommend running sp_resetstatus?? All the device files etc seem there and ok? It`s pretty weird how it should...

Bad news.
Tried a database restore but it bombs out about 6% thru. Some problems with the log file at a certain point. Tried detaching it, and then reattaching...
