Does this extension upload your code (even temporarily), or does it all run directly on the client?

Ha! You tricked me... I thought this was going to be about an issue with managing a GiS Database especially when it came to the ArcSde 9.3 to 10.0 upgrade....

If you're not familar with writing the code and your not wanting to use a maintenance plan perhaps you could create a maintenance plan that does exactly what you want...
