I fixed my 404 - File or directory not found problem in my Report Manager by making sure the correct ASP.NET version was selected in my Virtual Directory in IIS....

I just encountered this problem myself.

I mistakenly tried to deploy my report to http://localhost/reports.

(*In the properties window of the report project, TargetServerURL)

I changed it to http://localhost/reportserver...
