MS has online labs now for SQL 2005, just get certified in that. i was thinking about SQL 2000 cert, but won't do it now that 2005 books are out

I think it's whatever OS you have. Pretty sure you also need Windows 2000 Adv Server or Windows 2003 Enterprise also.
