It turned out that there were duplicates.. The problem was that I was trying to join 2 tables and that created duplicates. Creating composite key have solved the problem....

Actually, it's the other way.
category_db_id from table is a PK.
It is also a FK, which gets value from [category] table's FK.
So it's a PK that gets its values...

So in essence, you cannot have a PK that is getting a FK value from another table?

Right, I have 964 DISTINCT category_db_id from category table. But since they are all unique, they should be ok for PKs...?

Forgot to mention that this is a recurring issue and have done uninstall/reinstall for 13 times.

I would thought to reiterate my issue here.
When you click on Database Engine Query button, it does not bring up a Database Engine Query window.
Instead, it brings up Analysis...

Yup. Object Explorer can connect to the server.
Integration Services Project can connect to the server.
Only a Query Window cannot.
