Sounds interesting!
But the ETL implimintation is useful in case of Change Data Capture (CDC) and not Change Tracking.

Hi,
When I logged on as the OS user who created the instance, the command worked OK.
I think there's a Windows privilege required... sysadmin isn't enough.

Database mail is configured. I sent a test email from it and it worked just fine. Still the alert is not working.

I got the answer from another forum as follows:
"If you right-click a file in Explorer and chose properties, there are two sizes listed. Size and Size on disk

sorry guys.. it seems taking the db offline and then online resolves the issue.
It was my mistake becuase I actually didn't rename it to its original filename.
