It can be for any database .....not necessarily tempdb ..
Just now ....log for one user database crossed 100 percent 😉

when i check for the contents in the errorlogfile and sqlagent.out , it shows me that windows event log service has not been started .
i try to start it manually...

Sql server service is up and running fine ....
Agent is only that is not coming up

I restarted the sql services and it came up without fail.
I think the prob was with the database locating the data/log files ....

The status of the database is in RECOVERY PENDING state .

Its helpful to get the results of a query for n number of instances in a registered server list or as you mention in Central management servers list .

@Eights - "A user without login..go db-->security-->right click users--->User's properties is showing without login..."

I am able to take backup to the shared location now 🙂
I granted permission on OS level to the service account for the sql and is working fine now .
