My conclusion till now :
Configure Always on between current one node MSSQL clustered existing instance and new standalone MSSQL installation

Not really.
I'm confused by "different environments" though. Are we talking about Development, Testing and Production as "different environments"? Or are we saying, I've got one database on five different...

Surprisingly , it has auto fixed over the weekend although no restart of services took place ...(mixed emotions) . I can see both instance services in config management now .
