You may use BULK INSERT. That decreases load time significantly.

Are you using the same account for both trying the query for yourself and with DTA? The default db's could be different. Furthermore there some issues with DTA pre SP2....

The SQL instance must run with the same account that is set up for sending mails. Then it appears where you need it.

They just updated the release date (date published) of the pack to 3/6/2007 and I guess the executable pack file properties will show file version 9.0.3042.1 instead of 9.0.3042.0

Thank you webooth. Do you know how to open an instance that is not on local machine? i.e. what should I type in MSSQLSERVER?

While working with nt aouthentication you don't need to enter user name or password. When connecting to the instance just choose "Windows Authentication".

Now the things are clearer. The user uses citrix application so the machine name that comes to the SQL Server is the Citrix server therefore the login name is the "Admin"...

Is it possibe that these machines are not on the same domain with the SQL server or not on a domain at all? Having only a login name remarks me...

Why don't you use 70000 instead of 130000 which is too close to 133000 MB?
