Only error was from a little while ago when I typed the password wrong...

it is a local account but it is on both servers... I would use a domain account but we do not have a domain on that segmant of the network.

The subscriber is not 2000....

here is the set setup

server 1 -- SQL 2000 pub/dist for current production enviroment. Also has SQL 2005 pub/dist for conversion... we didn't have any extra...

The subscriber is the default instance...

I created the subscriptions via the wizards...

I found out some more information and now am really stuck...

I tried to connect through osql to the subscriber... it worked... but then...

I did check that and it is enabled. I am running standard edition.
