SELECT INTO does place locks on system metadata, which can cause issues for users, until the SELECT INTO completes. INSERT INTO can be minimally logged by using a TABLOCK....

100% over couple hundred servers, for DR, maintenance, continuity. SQL 2012 mostly. Data warehouse is all solid state with Kaminario All-Flash Array. 😎

These don't work with partitioned tables or indexes. It lists everything on separate rows.

COMPUTE isn't supported in SQL 2012, just FYI... 😀
