It could be - given the latency between UK and USA. However, where is your VS installation - is this UK?
Could you try RDP'ing onto a box in USA and...

It will be down to the missing features not the main IIS components.

Well, I finally took the plunge and upgraded my RAM from 4GB to 16GB (even though Apple says they only support 8GB :crazy:) and then installed a OCZ Agility 240GB...

This is what SQL server does (by design).
What are the specifications of your machines (Proc's, Core's and Memory)? Is only SQL Server running on these clusters?

I thought about a server for at home too, however I tend to do a lot of work/studying whilst out on the road. Don't get much chance at home.

Ahh, I didn't know that.
Come to mention it, I couldn't find any examples that talked about Merge Replication and Tracer Tokens. That explains it.

Are the .csv file's just data or do they contain some DDL?
SSIS would be the perfect solution for automating this task either way - this is what it was designed...
