I am not sure of what you are asking, but an Excel file with 1000 lines is not a big file. Exporting it to CSV would be trivial.

Reading Excel files is not trivial. You can export them to CSV files out of Excel. CSV files will work fine.

In the next article out next Wednesday I create an SSIS package that emails/ftps invoices to individual customers. That's why I wrote it for one customer at a time.
