Is anyone experiencing slow export to excel performance using this? Exporting to csv is very fast, but it can take minutes to export to excel.

I have multiple XML fields with the same schema. Is it possible to "concatenate" them in a select statement to generate a single XML field?

That's pretty quick decision. But I would pursue teh MCTS 2005 certification. Companies will not upgrade to 2008 so quickly.

Are you doing it via hostname or local? How many NICs do you have?

Thanks, but this only works in SQL 2005 and not 2000. If all else fails, we'll be upgrading the reporting services to 2005.

Check if the job history is in the system tables.
SELECT * from msdb.dbo.sysjobs
SELECT * from msdb.dbo.sysjobhistory
Try recreating the jobs to see if you're still having the same issue.
