open MS iSCSI Initiator and go to targets tab, make sure that all paths are connected. Are you using MPIO for the iSCSI targets?

Strangely I just ran a checkdb against "Database1" and it failed with an error

Thanks Gail. Had already done all of that. It still grows now even with explicit dropping of the # temp tables (not needed).

also, once any data/log file reaches a particular size, it wont free up space on it's own.

I ran an old Analysis Services SP3 install we had that has refreshed the Snap In and fixed the issue, whilst SP4 is still in place.

Gave up on getting it to work through the GUI but glad the MS documentation wasn't quite right.
