Lowell, just out of curiosity, what would the result set look like on say a clustered SQL Server instance compared to standalone? I don't have the ability to check this...

Just curious, do you have specs on the new server? mfg/model, number and type of processors, total ram, etc.
I wouldn't think that vmware would make up...
