I cannot access those databases from the network I'm on.

I just want to do general performance monitoring. But I want to do it real-time. I don't think Profiler will help...

In sql server agent go to jobs. Select your job(s). Right click on them and you will see 'all tasks'. Click on that and select 'Generate SQL Scripts'.
