yes i have started thru -f start up parameters but its prompt the following error while connecting to SQL Management Studio:

Unable to start the service after taking in single user mode also.

It is having Symantec backup front end and back end as SQL so i just wanted to start SQL Service any how ? and symantec backup will be running periodically...

No i did not have any recent backup and i only have mdf and ldf file
