  • RE: Away From SQL

    Surfing and drawing.

Surfing is a special challenge because I live in Western New York. So I surf on the Great Lakes (quit laughing, it can be done!) and vacation on...

  • RE: Question of the Day for 07 Dec 2005

And why the change in syntax? So now a DBA has to recognize two different code snippets that do exactly the same thing. Hopefully there is a sound underlying reason...

  • RE: Question of the Day for 23 Jun 2005

While the question was indeed vague and ambiguous, I for one often enjoy the extra stuff that gets posted is such cases. The crystal clear questions with cut and dried answers...

  • RE: The CLR in SQL Server 2005

The reason no one has implemented standards is simple - it isn't in the best interests of their business. Does anybody believe Microsoft (or Oracle) gives a rip about how well...

  • RE: The CLR in SQL Server 2005

    Good point.

I'm envisioning nightmare scenarios where unware programmers push everything into the CLR and drag the server down into a quagmire of processing irrelevant requests. I'm sure some 'wizard'...
