Not necessarily, u need to re-build the log shipping right from scratch. AS per ur requiement, u need to bring the secondary database online for testing purpose.

Which version of SQL Server are you using? If its Sql 2008 and later, u can compress the log backup.

When i run the original sp i m getting 616rows, but whem i m running the sp given by elutin, i m getting only 242 rows.
