Ed and Howard, That's true. However, the product has been running for a long time and the decision is not with me to separate the logic for different db engines...

I am afraid Varchar2 will not work in SQL Server...
Is INTEGER supported in Oracle?
Sorry, that I don't have an Oracle installation to test.
