    Ok, there is another option.

    Count records grouped by, say, a week.

    And reload only the rows which belong to weeks where the counts are different.

    That is pretty much the line of thinking I had as well, I just needed another point of view.

    Well the table is part of an ETL process, so it gets truncated and re-populated with approx 70 mil rows.

    Before I populate the table I disable all indexes and then...
