No, it's not the case. As a plan it shown failed, but all databases with no problem will be backed up. Only the databases with problem will not have backups....

Are you sure your system "hung" caused by the error 17883? are there any other applications on your server like veritas backup? That might cause "hung".

This may be permission problem. Try to start up your server with a domain admin account.
