I tried.. but don't see any command to save DTS as .vbs.... there is a way to save it as .dts but not as .vbs.... at least i am not...

I would say if at possible try to avoid cursors. Think if you can change query so that it can be direct SQL instead of cursor

I think DBCC UpdateUSage would update table statistics. sp_spaceused does not look into
actual table but looks into system tables to get count which are updated once we update
statistics....
