RESTORE DATABASE UMonitorDB

WITH RECOVERY

we get:

Msg 4303, Level 16, State 1, Line 1

The roll forward start point is now at log sequence number...

As I think I mentioned in my introduction, we had actually tried these angles already, in fact we even cleared all history from the log after backing it up...
