Is your Access front end an ADP or MDB?

The Access wizard has short comings (duh). Microsoft has a better migration tool at http://www.microsoft.com/sql/solutions/migration/access/default.mspx .

You could create another table with all of the values required. then do a view or query with that table linked to your data table. Then query...

I have had that problem if the database schema has changed since the creation of the ODBC. You may try recreating the ODBC.

If you can do your link using an Access ADP, then the diagrams do come across.

A quick way would be to use DTS or SSIS to tranfer the table to Access.

If you still have your SQL Server 2000 instance still running you could use that DTS to go from 2005 to Access.

Microsoft has SQL Migration Assistant at http://www.microsoft.com/sql/solutions/migration/access/default.mspx . I have better success with it than the wizard.
