    SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM

Many thanks for your replies, and it appears that the solution was on the Microsoft website.  However, I think it is explained quite concisely below.

    I managed to...

  • RE: Ansi_Nulls and Ansi_Warnings in Function

    Hi

Thanks very much for your help with this.

Your comments given in the link you included saved the day.  I created the function in Query analyser and it worked fine.  I...

  • RE: Surprising problem with views SQL Server 2000

    Many thanks to everybody.

I think prudence mitigates towards avoiding the use of select *.  From now on I'll use columns only in views and sps.

    Thanks once again

  • RE: Surprising problem with views SQL Server 2000

    Thanks again for your replies.

Before I try to pick my way through the sp_foreachView , can I ask if I should avoid using select * in views and sps?  The...

  • RE: Surprising problem with views SQL Server 2000

    Thanks Both

This is really helpful and provides the answer to the problem.

However, I am continually changing tables at present to accommodate new circumstances.  It would be really useful to be...

  • RE: Recordset problem Access 2003 adp

    My apologies.

    aud.update

The problem was staring at me but I couldn't see it.  It is amazing how something so obvious catches you out.

  • RE: Report problem in Access 2003

    Thanks Leo

Unfortunately I can't get this to work for my Report.  I do have a solution - not a very elegant one - but it will have to do.

    Thanks again

  • RE: Report problem in Access 2003

    Hi Nicole

    Thanks for the reply.

Yes, that is a surefire way to do it.  However, I have very much simplified my needs just for illustration purposes.

    What I really need is...

  • RE: Stored Procedures in Access Projects

    Rich

You are right, there are a mixture of versions on the system.  The RecordSourceQualifier does exist on 2003 systems.  However, following all advice, using dbo works for all.  I will...

  • RE: Stored Procedures in Access Projects

    Thanks to both of you.

    Rich

I have ensured that the RecordSourceQualifier is dbo in each case, and checked permissions.  However, this still didn't work.

I then changed all my sp references to...

  • RE: Create Ade from Adp

    Thanks Ian

I have compiled the code.  I'm grateful for your contribution.

    Thanks Rich

Another surprising find.  Who would believe a new installation of 2003 would have 2000 as its default file format.

    Anyway,...

  • RE: Create Ade from Adp

    Hi Rich

I did try that, but have just gone through it again to check.  I was just about to import one form and try a one by one test, however I...
