I restored "master" as user database but when you "sys.syslogins" or any "sys." it is refering to master database of the current instance and not the restored master database....

I have observed that "'c:\tempdata" dir itself it is missing and failing to create the tempdb.

Once i created the folder 'c:\tempdata' , sql came online.
