hardcoding the failing statement with valid values seems to make it work. so i'm going to try adjusting one value at a time to see which one...

but all the other statements execute properly... the statement inserting into table 'usersInfo' is basically the same thing and that doesn't have any problem.

i actually did check @lowBal before and it is getting set correctly... if i copy/paste the entire procedure into query analyzer and set @signupID manually, it works just fine... for...
