I think the article is confusing for those that use LiteSpeed directly to disk.  In that case, LiteSpeed is undoubtedly faster than native and simple to script.

I haven't taken it yet, but as with most SQL exams, the outline on the Preparation site (http://www.microsoft.com/learning/exams/70-431.asp) coupled with BOL is probably your best bet.
