Maybe I am missing something but I don't think anything can be called portable unless you can actually move it around. For example, a DTS package can actually "port" data...

Sure but now you are in no worse condition then if you were to use hungarian with just a regular vb app.

I dont personally use the Hungarian so I wouldn't end up using it on the tables anyway, but if you wanted to, I dont think its as big a pain...
