Was able to get pas thro' the Excel permission rights but still.... stuck in Cannot create ActiveX Component...... for Excel in SSIS SQL2008 R2, Windows 2008 R2 machine.. Sometime back...

Yes. I do have a similar issue, the Package runs good in VS2008, ( SQL2008R2)( Debug / Release mode ) , but the same package
when configured as job complain only...

VioLA.....
Rename the old exe in the SQL 2005 path to a different name (Example:- C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\DTS\Binn\DTEXEC_Old.exe)
and works !
