First install 2005 then install 2008...don't do it other way around...

I don't think RESTART command is any useful unless you are restoring...

N is nothing to do with your backup file directory issue...
N is used for unicode datatype like Nchar, NVarchar etc...
First make sure you have the right path in maintenance plan...

You may get into issues if your tables are bigger while deleting the data...
sp_msforeachtable 'truncate table ?'
Note: if your table have FK then drop the FKs first...

Add another column called PROCESSED then update the column when the it is processed...
You can use GROUP BY clause to get the info instead of looping through...
