I do not claim to be an expert, but if you just use the "join" keyword, "inner" is implied.

If you qualify a join as "left", "right", or "full", ...

I was really disappointed in this article. It's obviously for SQL users with little experience, so I was wondering how the definition for table 2 could be wrong right...
