What are you doing - just drilling down on a hierarchy in BIDS or are you querying a calculated member?
It might be worth just running a trace on the server...

My guess would be driver issues.
You could run SSIS as 32bit (even on a 64 bit machine). I do this on my load to get around 64-bit driver issues
