Originally it was a parameter and it was misbehaving even then.
I didn't think about the dynamic SQL route but that's because I'm mostly opposed to it on principal. 🙂

I've never tried it. In the past I've used a variable that gets used in an expression in the connection in the package.
More recently I've switched to config files....

Can you please where in SqlAgent, I can pass the parameter?
