Maybe I am missing something.  I did like you said above, went to the task, right-clicked -->workflow properties --> options and disabled the step...then added the code.  It did not...

All I can say is attempt to log into the sql server with the account is running the agent.

Once you log in, try to get to that pathway.

Well I got around the problem with the following ActiveX Script...it looks for the newest filename in a directory.  In my case I am only going to have one file...

ANGER LEVEL RISING....RAGE TAKING OVER....   No biggy...just curious.

Huh...I never thought of stopping and restarting the mail...would have been something to troubleshoot it further...

Reboot of the server cleaned up the mess...apparently one of the others felt that would fix the problem and it did.
